Prince of Wales Island. Prince of Wales Island is known for
producing quality black bears and at Land's End Lodge you will be
able to hunt both the northern part of Prince of Wales Island and
also the famous Kuiu Island. The hunting pressure is
extremely low, which improves the bear population and creates
opportunity for a true Alaskan adventure. Land's End
Lodge offers self-guided bear hunting during the months of May and
June, and provides the resources for hunters to reach their goal
of harvesting an excellent bruin. |

There are a large number of bears on Prince of Wales Island
and patience is key to getting an excellent bear. Our boats
and vehicles put you within easy reach of prime hunting areas and
harvesting a trophy class bear is always a possibility. Be Selective:
When combined with patience, selectivity can create remarkable results.
Hunters that understand the characteristics of a prime bear stand a

great fishing areas and can take time to pull some of those "barn door"
halibut out of the water! By hunting during the months of May and June,
our hunters are able to take advantage of the excellent fishing in
